Occasions in Laguna Village is a beautiful venue for a wedding. Brittany and Jeff tied the knot here and their ceremony overlooked Laguna Beach. Check out their wedding photos!

Howdy,

On Saturday, Steve Hoffmann and I photographed Britney and Jeff’s wedding! Being sweethearts since high school, the two of them finally tied the knot in Laguna Beach at Occasions.

Occasions at Laguna Village
577 S Coast Hwy
Laguna Beach, CA 92651

Occasions at Laguna Village (Orange County) is an awesome location that overlooks the ocean. I recommend it to any bride who wants a beach wedding :D

While Steve handled Britney’s preparation session, I was with Jeff and the guys. They got ready at

Inn at Laguna Beach
11 North Coast Highway
Laguna Beach, California 92651

Inn at Laguna Beach also overlooks the ocean, so it’s a totally rad place to hang out before the wedding. Jeff had a team meeting before his departure to marry the girl of his dreams! 1-2-3-HOORAH!

With some time to spare, the guys decided to horse around with Jeff’s nephew har har (I bet he was not laughing though).

laguna beach wedding

Despite the beautiful wedding, we did not get any blue sky or sun! The fog rolled in thick and heavy.

YAY!

While trekking down the streets to the beach (above), I stopped them midway in an alleyway to take some more saucy pictures tee hee. I told them not to worry because we will get the “safety shots” for the parents and kids to see.

Here is the safety 0:- )

mMMm a delicious looking cake! The seashells are all made of sugar – yum!

It is always a pleasure to head back to Summit House in Fullerton for weddings. Gina and Nate hosted their wedding at this lovely venue. The trees, beautiful venue, and the flowers created amazing wedding photography backdrops.

Greetings,

Tang and I recently photographed at the beautiful Summit House in Fullerton (Orange County). I previously shot there with Tang as well for another wedding. The location is full of green foliage and colorful walls.

We knew it would be a blast when Gina and Nate decided to share their special day with us. Having the opportunity to photograph their engagement session, it allowed us to break the ice. Naturally, these two look like models so taking nice pictures was not at all hard. Thank you Lisa for introducing them to us! :)

Don’t you love the play with lighting? Awesomeness.

What a spunky couple!

Gina and Nate were such a happy couple! Even if the sky was falling, I doubt they would have even cared as long as together. <3

Goldie and Mike’s wedding was hosted at Jason’s Downtown Restaurant in Santa Ana! There were so many fun filled photos taken during their Persian wedding.

Hello,

Goldie and Mike tied the knot a few weeks ago. They had a Persian style wedding. Goldie’s father explained to us the traditions and customs of a Persian wedding. As a wedding photographer, we always have these unique opportunities to learn about other cultures.

Goldie and Mike conducted their ceremony at home followed by a beautiful reception at Jason’s Downtown Restaurant and Wine Cellar in Santa Ana.

They have stellar food! Tang, who is not a fan of cooked fish, devoured his meal. Anyway, check out the pictures.

Goldie’s dog is super cute! I played with it all day. He was so soft and fluffy and fun to play with.

Friends and family members were cutting cheese for the crackers and ultra delicious cold cuts.

This is Goldie. Her friends found a Persian wedding magazine and found the picture to be so hilarious that we made her imitate it! LOL she did a rather good job at it.

Ablla and Casy tied their knot at Tustin Ranch Golf Course! Aside from watching out for fly balls, it was a pleasure to be their wedding photographer!

Hello,

Wow fourth post for the day! There will only be on more after this because I have to resume coding. We photographed Ablla and Casey a while back at Tustin Ranch Golf Club. The golf course was in – you guessed it – Tustin, CA (Orange County).

This little girl was really cute! She did not care to have her shoes put on so she just sat on the floor. What a little princess!

Here she hit exhaustion.

The mother of the bride was clearly content with what she saw – her beautiful Ablla ;D

With some time to spare, Doug and I took some pictures in Ablla’s kitchen. I am sure the family members thought we were crazy, but I like the shot!

Peace to everyone Vo_oV

Look at the boys! The Tustin Ranch Golf Club coordinator was so kind as to lend us some golf clubs. Sadly, we did not have softboxes with us, so we had semi-harsh lighting with three Canon 580EX II.

Midway during the reception, the guests were surprised with some Arabic dancers! Woohoo!

What?! People running around the room with real swords? Outrageous! LOL

More swords!

It was our first time seeing Arabic dancers, so that made it extra cool. Thanks Ablla and Casey for sharing your day with us :)

Turnip Rose in Costa Mesa was absolutely stunning! What was more stunning was Megan and Kevin when they hosted their wedding here. Wedding photography here was such an honor. Check out their wedding pictures!

Greetings,

On June 29, 2008, we photographed an awesome wedding at The Turnip Rose Elite Catering in Costa Mesa, CA (Orange County). More information on this beautiful location can be found at their website:

Turnip Rose – Costa Mesa
1901 Newport Blvd.
Costa Mesa, CA
Turnip Rose – Grand Newport Plaza of Costa Mesa

We have met our lovely bride and groom – Megan and Kevin – a number of times before their actual wedding. They are the friends of Hung (I did not have a blog yet, so sadly no link), Ryan (wedding at the Ebell Club) and James (wedding at the Hyatt Regency). All of the aforementioned entrusted us – Furious Photographers – to photograph their weddings! We are so thankful for their trust and for their friendship. Shooting the wedding was such a blast because it was like hanging out with old friends. As old friends, they are warranted a lot more room for pictures on our blog! :)

While Doug had a cool adventure riding on buses, drinking at bars and then more drinking at The Turnip Rose, I got to sit back and watch television with the girls! It is a win-win situation :) Let’s begin with Doug’s little trek prior to Costa Mesa.

This is what happens when one forgets how to tie a tie.

Being a fan of movies, Doug wanted to do something like produced the 1992 movie “Reservoir Dogs.”

turnip rose wedding

Doug’s attempt to produce something similar to a Beetle’s album cover called “Abbey Road” in 1969.

The groom and his cronies taking public transportation to their local bar.

Here is the beautiful Megan lounging around before her preparation session. She was aiming for a retro-style pin-up look, which was totally awesome! Megan also had this really sexy birdcage veil, which I have always longed a bride to wear because I think it is so cool.  Her makeup and fabulous hair style was done by Natalie Morisoli.

The following two images is Megan’s being a pin-up girl. We intentionally gave the image a washed out grainy feel to replicate the pop culture of its time.

turnip rose wedding

Look at that “sassssssss!”

turnip rose wedding

Since the groom was sequestered voluntarily in the lounge with a surfeit of beer and air conditioning, Megan and I explored Turnip Rose and took some solo pictures of herself being an awesome bride!

Isn’t the Turnip Rose a beautiful location? We had three photographers that day – Tang, Doug and myself. We situated ourselves in all parts of the ceremony garden to make sure we get the best angles!

A nice warm and desaturated look for the retro-style wedding.

Megan wanted to “Vogue” it so Doug obliged by clicking away. I absolutely love her eyes!

What a fabulous cake! It tasted fabulous too! YUM!

turnip rose wedding

The following two images were not easy to achieve. It was an extremely low-light situation. It was only achieved by using our Canon 24 f/1.4L and Canon 50 f/1.2L respectively. We added just a splash of flash to light our subjects while maintaining the background/ceiling lights that sparkled like stars in the evening sky.

All in all, it was a blast photographing this wedding. The very same night we took a red-eye flight to Cancun, Mexico. Needless to say, Doug and I were beat.

Adios,
