Granny Panties | Sheryllene & Anthony

June 18, 2012

Happy Monday!

It is such a beautiful day in Los Angeles, even if it is the dreaded case of the Mondays. On the brighter note, there should be happy hour somewhere in Los Angeles since it is after 5pm to lighten up your mood with discounted appetizers and drinks.

Our next wedding photography entry presents this quirky couple, Sheryllene and Anthony, located at Glendale Hilton. It was a sunny afternoon like today when Sheryllene started her preparation at Glendale Hilton suite, while the boys hurried on the last minute wedding details before the ceremony commenced. I suppose that even though ladies have to wake up a few hours earlier than boys for weddings, the perks are that the boys normally have to do the final touches for the wedding while the ladies can enjoy their mornings. There were many priceless wedding photos taken from beginning to end, but the one detail that caught my attention was that all the wedding bouquets were different from flower arrangement, colors, and even types. Maybe each flower explains a bit about each of the bridesmaids? I suppose we may never know!

After Anthony and his boys finalized the last bit of the wedding preparations, they all suited up to their best. This following wedding photograph was rather touching since Anthony’s father tied Anthony’s tie. It was also really cool that Anthony’s father was given a “Father of the Groom” t-shirt too!

With the clock ticked closer towards the wedding ceremony, the ladies rushed to get Sheryllene ready and into her wedding gown.

While the girls tidied their suite and gathered their personal effects to take along to the wedding, Danny and I snapped a few wedding portraits for Anthony and his boys down at Hilton’s lobby.

One of the flower girls were nervous as she walked down the aisle with all the wedding guests’ attention were all on them. Although she pouted a bit, she managed to walk down proudly.

After the wedding ceremony was over, we cruised to a local train station in Glendale with the wedding party for their awesome photography session. Fortunately, it was a weekend and towards dusk, so the station was left rather empty for us to roam around without much restrictions. The wedding party ran from the station to the tracks for the following wedding photographs.

The wedding party worked really hard to present such a wonderful wedding, so when they work hard they play even harder! The dance floor opened up right when the wedding party made their grand entrance to the reception hall! Majority of the wedding guests all made their appearance on the floor and showed off their best moves. Once everyone’s spirits and adrenaline were nicely pumped, Sheryllene and Anthony had their first dance to calm the mood before dinner was served. Throughout the night there were touching speeches and delicious wedding cake for everyone to compliment their dinner. Of course afterward, the crowd jumped back on the dance floor once the DJ spun a beat with plenty of bass!

I have seen many weddings when the bride wore granny panties underneath, but this was rather fashionable and topped off rather nicely. Either way, the following wedding photograph captured Anthony’s reaction when Sheryllene showed off the goods underneath her wedding dress.

Congratulations again to the both of you, Sheryllene and Anthony. It was a pleasure to be your wedding photographer.

Keepin’ it Vintage | Rosa B

June 14, 2012

Good morning,

It has been a while since I have time to photography leisurely and without much pressure. During these times, I just like to photograph the most random things. In this case, my good friend Rosa was available one afternoon to goof around with some head shots in Pasadena. There is a gas station / taco restaurant that I always had an eye on for a photography set, but never paid too much mind to until now. The day started with Rosa getting her hair and makeup done by my former wedding couple, Nanae , who got married early last year at Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills. Since Nanae wanted to get more into makeup, this was a good start with some sweet photos of her work.

After all the preparations were made, we managed to catch the last glimpse of the sunset in our following photographs! Check it out.

Thanks Nanae and Rosa for this fun collaboration with this photo shoot here in Pasadena!

Derringer | Jenny & An

June 10, 2012

Good evening everyone,

It was a good day when my childhood friend, Jenny, finally married her beloved An! There were so many familiar faces from our school who attended their wedding. With all the energy in one wedding, there were so many momentous events to photograph! There were laughter and definitely plenty of tears (of course from happiness) shared amongst her friends and family. It was definitely a real treat to not only be invited to their wedding as a guest, but also being entrusted as their wedding photographer.

The day started with Jenny and her gals prepped up at Sheraton Hotel in Anaheim (Orange County), while An and his boys suited up at his pad in Westminster (also in Orange County). There were plenty of humorous side stories in between each event in this wedding and I will try my best to explain in detail. To start off, Janet (Jenny’s maid of honor and also Danny’s squeeze) thought of a creative idea for all the ladies in the wedding party to wear a derringer under their dresses. The wedding photo below is a sweet shot of all their derringers piled up on top of each other before they hid them under their garters. While the ladies enjoyed their morning, An on the other hand, wanted to look more “masculine” in his wedding photos. Before he allowed Danny to take their first shot, he did plenty of push-ups and sit-ups beforehand to compliment his…confidence. As their wedding photos progress, I will add in more stories below. For now just site back, relax, and enjoy their wedding photos!

The derringers!

Cute little piggy stored all their spare change for the wedding! We just had to add this photo along with the rest of their wedding story.

The little girl is all grown up with her wedding dress and all!

I suppose everyone has their own methods of putting on lipstick.

There were three wedding ceremonies that Jenny and An had to perform before they partied hard at The Villa. Two of the wedding ceremonies were traditional tea ceremonies to each of their families for their blessings and one catholic mass.

I suppose their fist pump made their wedding official.

After their wedding ceremonies all came to an end, we all ran around Orange County for their wedding photography session, while their wedding guests enjoyed cocktail hour at The Villa.

Dig the socks

Time to replenish! In between wedding photos, the wedding party munched on some McDonald’s cheeseburgers. Once they were ready for the next series of photos, they had to check their teeth to avoid any unwanted embarrassments!

Next couple wedding photographs compliments of Geoff (our new addition to Furious Photographers family)

Janet had to photo-bomb at least one picture!

Before the floor opened up for dancing, Jenny and An had their first dance as husband and wife. I totally dig the traditional red Chinese wedding dress.

Congratulations to the both of you again! It was our pleasure to be your wedding photographers at such a beautiful chapter in your lives.

Cheers,

I’m on a Boat | Reeden & Marc

June 8, 2012

Hello everyone,

I hope everything have plans for this upcoming summer! The weather here in sunny Los Angeles is getting hotter everyday, which is a good and bad thing. The brighter part about the heat wave in Los Angeles is that beach season is coming up. Unfortunately, the drawback about the heat in Los Angeles is the whole sweating part while at work photographing weddings! This next wedding entry is with my beautiful couple, Reeden and Marc who had flow all the way from Alaska to host their intimate wedding here at Electra Cruises in Newport Beach, CA. Here is a quick summary about this pair before we continue with their wedding at Newport Beach. Marc always wanted to look cool, yet dangerous at the same time. With that in mind, their engagement photography session at Downtown Los Angeles revolved around the idea of the legendary James Bond – 007. For Reeden and Marc’s wedding, they wanted to look just as stylish and cool at the same time in their wedding pictures!

This stylish young couple all prepped up and dressed to impress at their designated suites at a local hotel and “wowed” their wedding guests as they walked down the aisle. From one photograph after another, there were so many wonderful memories and shared laughter recorded. Reeden and Marc envisioned their wedding to have a classic twist with the bird cage veils and all. Even for their portrait session, we swung by a local vintage themed cafe for some wedding pictures once Electra Cruises docked at Newport Beach after the wedding was over. Management at the cafe were gracious enough to clear the floor for some awesome wedding photographs around their booth and bar. They even made Reeden and Marc a nice milkshake to add into their theme! Check it out!

With the extra time before all the wedding guests arrived to Electra Cruises, we took Marc and his boys out for a quick portrait photo session on the streets and alongside of the piers in Newport Beach.

After the wedding ceremony was over, Electra Cruises taxied along Newport Beach around the piers and Balboa Island while the wedding guests enjoyed their night. While the wedding guests mingled and laughed the night away, Danny , Phebe , and I took Reeden and Marc on the top deck to start off their wedding portrait session.
