California in the recent weeks had a fair share of rain. I hope everyone managed to get around safely during the storms. Rain during this season reminded me of a wedding we had photographed a couple years ago with almost the same scenario.
This upcoming wedding post held a special place in my heart. The man of that hour, William, has ventured off with me in almost all my crazy ideas since we were kids and what an adventure we had! He was there for all the good times and never hesitated to be there during the times that mattered most. For a man like him, he deserved only the best. In this case, he ended up with Elise – the best and the weirdest. All their similarities and differences complimented each other rather nicely. In other words, their lives were various puzzle pieces that fit together to present itself as something beautiful.
This story of Elise and William all began at Panda Express Headquarters in a small town called Rosemead in LA. When William first started work at Panda HQ, he was a total hipster who biked to work everyday, wore retro clothing from his dad’s closet, and worked as tech support. A lot has changed since then, but just like his love for Elise, his taste in fashion still remained constant. During his breaks, he frequented the front desk for fruits to balance out his meals and coincidentally, that was where Elise worked. Either it was Elise or the bowl of fruits, William returned to the front desk on a daily. After months of “fruit picking,” they decided to date one fine evening. I do not know the full details of their love story, but William was hooked, lined, and sinkered. Fast forward all the mushy stuff that I honestly do care to remember, William proposed to Elise on their Euro trip one clear evening as the city lights flickered below.
Once news traveled back to the states about their proposal, we started to plan their amazing wedding. Elise was a stickler for details and everything at the wedding had some form of sentimental importance, even down to the table card holders for each guest. The only kicker about this outdoor wedding was that heavy rain also partook in their big day. Despite everything needed to be changed immediately, everyone rolled up their sleeves, hiked up their dresses, and rearranged everything for this wedding to continue! Silver linings such as friends and family who did not hesitate to overhaul a wedding had to be one of the highlights of their day.
Without further delay, enjoy Elise and William’s amazing milestone as husband and wife.
Does this count as a selfie?
Yes, Garrett, they are posing with their pet cat.
A little something to pick up Will’s spirit
On to the games!
Our buddy, Young Tea, casually won with such much finesse.
Somebody was bound to lose their pants.
Will and his boys
After all events were done, our DJ threw a beat and everyone showed off their sweetest moves on the dance floor the rest of the night.
One of Will’s biggest heroes – Mr. Vong!
Congrats again to the both of you cat lovers. It was our pleasure to be your wedding photographers…and your cat-sitter; not so much on the cat sitting part.
