Hi peeps,
Yes, I lag in blogging. On the bright side, I am so so so close to launching my new project! Stay tuned, seriously.
Anyway, Steve and Linh recently graced me with the opportunity to photograph their wedding at Rancho Sol Del Pacifico, which is a breathtaking private estate on the cliffs of Malibu (Los Angeles). The owners of the property – Al and Barbara Rotter – were super cool to work with. What I loved the most about Rancho Sol Del Pacifico were the animals! There were cats, dogs, more dogs, and more dogs!

Warm thank you to Angel for coordinating the event – awesome job! Brides – check her out!
Steve and Linh are from Atlanta, Georgia. They wanted to get married in Los Angeles to take advantage of the sunny weather. Unfortunately, on their wedding day, you guessed it, it rained. Since Rancho Sol Del Pacifico is located so high in the Santa Monica mountains that we were practically in the cloud’s level.
While driving up the untouched Santa Monica Mountains to Rancho Sol Del Pacifico, everyone was greeted with these pleasant ushers in orange (prison?) jackets.
As part of Vietnamese door entry games, the groom is posed with various challenges by the bridesmaids to prove his love and worthiness for his bride. In this particular situation, Steve had to pretend to be a plane!
To prove that he will be a good father, Steve had to wrap a diaper on one of his groomsmen. :S
Once Steve proved his love for Linh, they had a Chinese tea ceremony where the bride and groom serve tea to their friends and family members.
Lastly, Steve and Linh had a Western ceremony. Since it was raining outside, everything was done inside the tent. This young fellow loved to steal the limelight :O
Alas, the rain did not permit us to take advantage of the view, but we made due.
This was the coolest cat in the world! I think his name was Dolce.
The seating arrangement was all pinned onto a cork board. Below each name had a clue that hinted where they will be sitting.
Barbecue and paella for dinner? Yum!
A simple, but timeless wedding cake. Also yum!
Lastly, we took some pictures in near darkness at the driveway of Rancho Sol Del Pacifico. The lights on the palm trees coupled with the fog gave it a mystic look. What were Steve and Linh doing?
Cheers,
