Good afternoon everyone,

I hope everyone’s summer is going along swimmingly and hopefully lots of swimming! Time to stow away your jackets and throw on something “California casual” for the summer. Los Angeles is definitely turning up the heat and sun will be blazing from here on out. The cool thing about summer weddings is that there will be more day light for photos! For our next wedding photography entry, it takes place in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles at Cathedral of our Lady of Angels and Walt Disney Concert Hall. These two iconic buildings here in Los Angeles definitely made their wedding photos extra special and amazing. To start off their wedding story, everyone prepped up and dressed at beautiful Kyoto Hotel in Little Tokyo right outside of Downtown LA. Since both sides of the wedding party started off at Kyoto Hotel, Melody and Marvin had to dodge each other when they walked about the hotel. The challenging part of the wedding was when Melody’s beautiful wedding dress was hung in the middle of the lobby since we had to avoid Marvin from seeing it at all costs! There were a few close encounters, but I suppose these daring steps are part of the whole excitement in any wedding. Once the entire wedding party suited and dressed up, we made our way to Walt Disney Concert Hall for their wedding photography session. Enjoy!

After the touching wedding ceremony, everyone from the wedding paraded out the ceremony hall and congratulated the newly weds outside the courtyard while their reception finalized the final touches. The rest of their wedding after the grand entrance followed with lots of speeches, hugs, and insane dance moves throughout the night!

Congratulations to the both of you, Melody and Marvin! We had such a great time and was an honor to be your wedding photographers here in Los Angeles.

Dirty Dancing | Shani & Frances

Good afternoon everyone!

Yesterday was definitely a nice dose of how summer in Los Angeles will feel like in the next month. Yesterday was reported to be the hottest day in spring and Danny and I started bright and early for yesterday’s wedding and majority of the events were outdoors! We were glad the wedding party were real troopers and took the heat like champs. Multiple layers of sunblock was applied and my watch tan line became more prominent after the wedding ended. For those who are curious, I might upload a photo of my watch tan one day. For this next wedding that Danny and I photographed, it was another summer and hot wedding day! Fortunately, the breeze from the ocean kept everyone cool throughout the wedding at Los Verdes Gold Course in Palos Verdes. Shani and her gals started at a local salon and pampered away while Frances and his boys were already at Los Verdes Golf Course to finalize some last preparations.

With the extra time before the wedding ceremony, France had his photo session with his boys while Shani had her share of the limelight with her girls in their separate locations. Once the entire wedding party was ready to rock out with their wedding photography session, we nailed some pretty awesome pictures at the driving range and near the wedding ceremony site on the lawn. Just to wrap things up before the wedding ceremony, Shani and France shared some time along together under shelter of the tree’s shade.

As wedding guests arrived one by one, the time drew close to get the show on the road! Shani and Frances walked down the aisle with their entourage and put up a really good show. There were intimate words exchanged and a few tears shed during the wedding ceremony and we captured every moment! Once formalities wrapped up, the entire reception hall became a total party that started with Shani and Frances’ grand entrance with their reenactment of the famous dance scene from “Dirty Dancing.” I must admit that they did a really good job, especially a the last part when Frances had to pick Shani up over his shoulders. To top off the wedding night, an In-N-Out truck came over to serve everyone some amazing midnight snack after a whole night of dancing. Enjoy the show.

Rugby Warriors | Katie & Pete

Good afternoon everyone,

Summer is definitely turning up the heat here in Los Angeles. Everyone start getting rid of your uneven tans because beach season is just around the corner! As for me, I doubt my watch and tshirt tan will ever go away. In this next wedding blog, this takes us to a beautiful summer wedding in Long Beach hosted by beautiful Maya Hotel that sits right along side the docks of Long Beach and with a clear view of legendary Queen Mary. Our lovely wedding couple, Katie and Pete, were as fun and hilarious as ever throughout the wedding. For a quick recap about them and their engagement session, they are awesome rugby players who really know how to get down with the fun and look classy when needed. Check out their previous engagement photos here to get to know more about them!

To kick start their morning, Katie and her gals were off to the salon near Maya Hotel while Pete and his cronies were dressing their best in their hotel room. Aside from the girls all looking amazing, I had to admit that the salon complimented their wedding photos just perfectly with all the colors and decor. Throughout the makeup session, the girls ran around all over and had a blast. Check out the sweet wedding photos that were cranked out below. Amazingly, this time around the ladies were all prepped up and dressed before the boys, which means more camera time for them! While we waited for the ceremony to commence, we had about an hour to run around Maya Hotel for some really amazing wedding pictures with just Katie and her bridesmaids. While I covered the girls, Danny handled the Pete and the boys on the other side of Maya Hotel. Check out the wedding photos below and enjoy the show!

Check out the quick separate photo shoots that Danny and I did with our designated wedding parties before the ceremony commenced on Maya Hotel’s Courtyard that overlooked the ocean.

Each of Pete’s groomsman had an interesting way of greeting or maybe saying “farewell” to Pete as they walked down the aisle. This following wedding photo had to be one of the most interesting ones I have seen throughout my career as a wedding photographer. One of the perks about my profession as a wedding photographer is that there is never a dull moment. Little things like these make my job so worthwhile.

Of course, attention was quickly turned when Katie walked down the aisle with her father in her stunning wedding dress. Pete’s reaction was priceless.

Funny side note: Pete kept kissing Katie throughout the ceremony. I suppose he could not help refrain himself.

After the wedding ceremony concluded at Maya Hotel, we ran around the resort with the wedding party for the following photos. With a little extra time left over, we took Katie and Pete to Queen Mary to wrap up their wedding portrait session of just the two of them.

Grand entrance and they did have one heck of an entrance! They kicked off the night right with their first dance as husband and wife before chowing down on the amazing dinner. In between dinner and the mingling, there were also other performances that kept all the wedding guests entertained throughout the night. There was a traditional Maui dance that was pretty crazy! Marina City Club Wedding Photos | Marci & Faustino

Good afternoon everyone,

Another sunny day here in Los Angeles and the temperature is only going to rise from this point and on. Summer is rolling in, so better break out the sunblock! After being out in the sun for the past few weddings, I have already developed a fairly proud looking watch tan! Our next crazy adventure took us to Marina City Club in Marina Del Rey for Marci and Faustino’s wedding! To bring new readers up to date, Faustino was one of my super cool classmates during my UCLA days. It is always great to see good friends tie the knot and be a part of their beautiful wedding.

To start off their story, Marci had her makeup done and dressed to her best at Marina City Club while Faustino and his boys wrapped up the final touches at the church. Once everything was prepared, the wedding went off without a hitch and it was smooth sailing from there. Check out the wedding photos below and enjoy the show!

Bel Air Bay Club Wedding Photos | Maital & David

Good evening everyone,

It is great that Los Angeles is getting substantially warmer now. Oddly enough, I do miss the cold winter breeze at night when I walk around the city. I suppose the grass is greener on the other side. Nonetheless, I hope the weather stays like this for a while here in Los Angeles before the heat wave rolls around in a few months.

Talking about breeze, it was a beautiful Spring season in Malibu where Maital and David held their wedding at Bel Air Bay Club. The weather was right and the cool breeze from the ocean rolled in all day throughout the wedding. Danny and I started our day here at Bel Air Bay Club with Maital and all her ladies while they prepped themselves up at one of the larger conference rooms that had a beautiful balcony that overlooked the beach. Since Maital and David wanted a first look and their wedding portrait session done before their grand wedding ceremony, our wedding party was able to maximize their wedding photography session before any of their guests arrived. Since the balcony that overlooked the beach was a beautiful spot, we started their first look and wedding photography session there. Check it out!

Bel Air Bay Club

While I photographed Maital along during our wedding photography session here at Bel Air Bay Club (Malibu), Danny went off and photographed the David and his boys while they horsed around with the photo booth props!

After their first look over at Bel Air Bay Club’s grand balcony, we ran around the resort and photographed the following wedding portraits.

Once our wedding photography session was over, Maital, David, and their family members joined together to sign the Ketubah. Once that was taken cared off and both family rejoiced, Maital and David prepared themselves for their grand wedding ceremony over at the Bel Air Bay Club lawn that overlooked the ocean.

When the beautiful Jewish wedding ceremony came to a touching end, it was time for these two to party hard with all their wedding guests during cocktail and reception! There were so much hugs, love, and laughter throughout the entire night while each significant family member gave their toast to our beloved wedding couple. On a side note, since Maital already anticipated David was going to try something sneaky during their wedding cake cutting, she wore an entire plastic cover to protect her wedding dress. Clever girl prevented herself a large dry cleaning bill if she was to have anything deliciously bad happen to her wedding dress. Check out what happened with the following wedding photos!

Congratulations again to the both of you, love birds. It was definitely our pleasure to be your wedding photographers here at Bel Air Bay Club in Malibu on such an important milestone.
