London Hotel West Hollywood Wedding photos | Julianne & Joseph

Good afternoon everyone,

Today is a beautiful day here in Los Angeles, especially after the heavy rain that showed up randomly last night. With such a nice day, Danny and I will be making the most of it in Santa Monica today for a sweet engagement photo session. On the bad side, it is traffic every day here in Los Angeles! Either way, being out in the sun taking engagement photos will be all worth while.

On another note, it is finally time to post up Julianne and Joseph’s wedding from Pasadena Langham and London Hotel in West Hollywood! It was a wonderful morning for Julianne and Joesph’s wedding while the boys suited up and grubbed down at Pasadena Langham while the ladies got their hair and makeup done at Julianne’s brother’s pad nearby. Both Pasadena Langham and the house were filled with so many family members early in the morning not only to be the first to arrive, but also to avoid massive traffic during the dreaded “carmageddon” that happened a while back in Los Angeles and Santa Monica. For the locals here in Los Angeles, Pasadena, and Santa Monica, you know what I meant about “carmageddon” when the city closed down all lanes on 405 freeway for road construction. Fortunately, the wedding managed off without many glitches since everyone either showed up early or in a timely fashion.

For the first event for Julianne and Josephs wedding, they had a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony for the parents and elders. Check out the wedding photos below to see all the challenges Joseph had to face before he was even welcomed through the door! All the laughter and hugs from the wedding guests during this tea ceremony made one happy home and there were so many amazing wedding photos taken just in the morning! Once all the Chinese wedding traditions were done and over with, everyone made the trek over to London Hotel in West Hollywood to continue on with the Catholic wedding festivities. Once Julianne jumped into her beautiful white wedding dress, we ran around all over London Hotel and the streets of Hollywood during their wedding photography session. With such a beautiful day similar to today, we just had to make use of the vibrant blue sky for majority of their wedding photos. Everyone’s crazy and energetic personalities made each wedding photo look so amazing!

While the ladies were upstairs helping Julianne jump in her wedding dress, we photographed a couple snap shots of the boys in their natural habitat.

After the wedding ceremony was over, each pair in the wedding party had their own unique style during their grand entrance to their rooftop reception.

I am always a sucker for sweets and creative wedding ring photos, so why not just combine them together?

Marina City Club Wedding Photos | Marci & Faustino

Good afternoon everyone,

Another sunny day here in Los Angeles and the temperature is only going to rise from this point and on. Summer is rolling in, so better break out the sunblock! After being out in the sun for the past few weddings, I have already developed a fairly proud looking watch tan! Our next crazy adventure took us to Marina City Club in Marina Del Rey for Marci and Faustino’s wedding! To bring new readers up to date, Faustino was one of my super cool classmates during my UCLA days. It is always great to see good friends tie the knot and be a part of their beautiful wedding.

To start off their story, Marci had her makeup done and dressed to her best at Marina City Club while Faustino and his boys wrapped up the final touches at the church. Once everything was prepared, the wedding went off without a hitch and it was smooth sailing from there. Check out the wedding photos below and enjoy the show!

Furious Photographers – Through My Lenses 2012

Hello everyone,

It is that time again when we have to remember to avoid the pesky habit of writing 2012 on all our dates. Last year has been good to Furious Photographers despite the series of roller coaster obstacles that stood before us; I would rather raise my hands high and roll with the blows. To wrap up this wedding blog entry for the year, I have decided to finally post one highlighted wedding or engagement photo from each event that was rather memorable. Let Us Wine and Dine | Patricia & Fred

For all the residence in Los Angeles, I hope you all are staying warm and dry indoors while we experience these random showers the past few weeks. On the flip side, our cars get a really good scrub down! Today finally cleared up much better than the past few days and the sun is finally peaking out. Today in Los Angeles is just as beautiful as when Danny and I photographed Patricia and Fred’s wedding at Palm Event Winery in Pleasanton, CA. Time seemed to fly so fast that I felt like it was only recently when they engagement photography session was photographed in Santa Monica. It was a rather interesting wedding since this was our first time photographing a wedding in an actual winery. The atmosphere of the location was definitely an experience to say the least, especially with all the romantic locations we used for their wedding photography session.

Patricia and Fred started their day bright and early at their own designated hotel suites with their entourage. While the ladies prepped up, Danny and I photographed the boys “bro-ing” while Fred added his final touches to his attire and his wedding vows. One of the coolest mindset for these two for their wedding was “whatever happens, just have fun!” I believe that every wedding should be like this; of course with a few guidelines to keep everything organized. The main purpose of a wedding is to have fun and enjoy the celebration with friends and family. Just leave the worrying to your designated wedding vendors! Since Patricia and Fred wanted to mingle with their loved ones right after their wedding ceremony, we started their wedding portrait session right after their preparations were done. There were so many different scenery at the winery for amazing wedding photographs. Of course to spice things up a notch, Danny and I carried a huge couch for about half a mile into the vineyards for a select handful of wedding pictures. The work out was intense, but the final outcome of their wedding photographs at the vineyard was definitely worth the trek! Now sit back, relax, and enjoy their show!

Final touches ladies!

After the wedding party were ready for their wedding portrait session, we first headed to the brick wall right behind their actual wedding site indoors. I am always a sucker for brick walls and wild shrubbery around it.

After the wedding party warmed up with some fun and simple photos, we made the trip into the vineyards along with the couch we “borrowed” from one of the suites. The brown couch was a perfect contrast in color and complimented nature’s greenery quite well in the following wedding photographs of the wedding party and of just Patricia and Fred.

After we wrapped up their wedding portrait session, they took a quick break before they walked down the aisle and sealed the deal! The wedding hall at the winery was awesome with the wall of wine barrels as a nice addition to their wedding winery theme.

While all the wedding guests mingled and shared the love with the newly weds, a delicious dessert and cake table was set up for the wedding guests to enjoy after their main courses. Of course, we caught a few wedding guests pick at the dessert table before salad was even served! I suppose some people like to live in the wild side and start with the sweets beforehand.

After all the wedding guests settled down and found their designated tables, Patricia and Fred made their grand entrance and kick started their reception with an amazing first dance! After the grand performance, there were multiple speeches and hilarious stories shared by their family and friends. Another memorable moment of the night was when Patricia changed to a tasteful red evening gown and had her father and daughter dance together while Fred danced with his mother. After all the formalities were done, everyone partied hard all through the night!

Congratulations again to the both of you. Your destination wedding at Palm Event Winery in Pleasanton was absolutely amazing!

Surf’s Up | Beth & Nik

Hello everyone!

11 hours and counting until the new year in sunny California, mainly sunny in Los Angeles and Orange County. Have you all made your New Years resolution yet?

My lovely wedding couple, Beth and Nik , finally tied the knot at beautiful Shade Hotel in Manhattan Beach! Their wedding was so colorful all the say down to the boutonnieres, which made AWESEOME photos in the end. It was an early day when Beth and Nik prepped up at their designated suites provided by Shade Hotel and hurried up to get married at Wayfarer’s Chapel that was just a quick drive away in Palos Verdes. Since Nik woke up a bit earlier, he had some time to catch the surfs at Manhattan Beach before preparing for the wedding. While Nik took his board to the beach, the ladies all hung out and had their makeup done. Since Danny and I did not bring any swimming trunks, we hung out with Beth and photographed the ladies until Nik came back!

While Beth and her wedding party all prepped up, we took aside all the fun little wedding details to photograph. Every fine wedding detail was taken into consideration. Even the boutonnieres were color coordinated with the bouquets for the bridesmaids then the entire wedding party can match! I suppose of all the wedding details, the most eye catching was Beth’s Manolo heels. I was not sure what it was, but it was the perfect item to compliment her wedding dress. Every sit back and relax; this is going to be a long, yet worthwhile, wedding blog entry.

To start off, check out the wedding details of the boutonnieres and the matching wedding bouquets.

Even the flower girl got an wonderful bouquet of flowers to match her wedding dress!

And of course, the Beth’s wedding bouquet was the best.

While the ladies did their thing, we stood by the sidelines and photographed each touching moment. This photograph of Beth’s mother was one of my favorite photos of the day. =)

I just had to pair Nik’s suit and his favorite surfboard together for this next wedding picture.

Dig the socks

Here was a fun side story about Beth and Nik’s wedding. Nik is very particular about everything, even down to his tie. He forgot his favorite black tie at his house and none of our ties were able to match up. Danny and the Nik’s entourage did the next best thing – all jump into a car and speed off to the mall in search of the perfect replacement tie! After countless ties, Nik finally found a suitable one to match his taste. This next wedding photo kind of summed it up as Nik adjusted his tie as they took the escalator down.

Now that the wedding is back on track and all the little wrinkles in the wedding itinerary has been ironed out, everyone met at Wayfarer’s Chapel for the their grand wedding. With the spare time while the wedding guests made their way to Wayfarer’s Chapel, we captured a few fun wedding pictures with the entire wedding party.

The following wedding photos were touching moments when Nik finally saw Beth in her amazing wedding dress. I think Nik squeezed out a few tears too. I think anyone would if they saw her.

After that intimate moment was over, we quickly took one photo of the entire wedding party and rushed everyone to the front of Wayfarer’s Chapel for the wedding ceremony.

Before we headed to Abalone Cove for their wedding photography session, we walked to the side of Wayfarer’s Chapel for some nice colorful greens to add in their wedding photos.

After the wedding photography session was over and a handful of the wedding party had thorns stuck in their legs (thanks for being a real trooper), we all headed back to Shade Hotel (Manhattan Beach) for a fun-filled night of cheers, laughter, and lots of sweets! The dessert table was wonderfully crafted by their wedding coordinator, Linsay Longacre from LVL Events.

Instead of the usual guestbook at weddings, Beth and Nik chose a cute bodyboard to match their personalities better.

After the father’s speech to Beth and Nik, this next wedding photograph was such a tender moment when Nik got out of his seat to give his dad the biggest hug ever.

Many speeches were given out that night to congratulate our wedding couple, but Beth’s sister’s poem stood out amongst the rest.

Since there we sweets everywhere, Danny thought it was only fitting to have the wedding rings photographed in a sea of blue…whatever those blue balls were. =)

Once everyone had their fill, the party started with the first dance as husband and wife. Afterward, DJ dropped the beat and the party rocked all night long!

Congratulations again to the both of you. It was an absolute pleasure to be your wedding photographers at Shade Hotel in Manhattan Beach (Los Angeles).
