Double Tree Wedding Photos | Daisy & Israel

January 3, 2013

Good afternoon Los Angeles!

So my New Year’s resolution is to finally update my long overdue wedding blog entries. To kick start this good habit, I shall introduce this memorable wedding that took place at Double Tree Hotel that overlooked the waterfront in San Pedro…which was photographed almost two years ago; talk about being a bit behind. My lovely couple, Daisy and Israel, were locals here in San Pedro and wanted something convenient and intimate for all their wedding guests. Double Tree Hotel in San Pedro has a nice enclosed outdoor ceremony hall that looks over the docks, which was perfect for any wedding celebration. While the ladies dolled themselves up and enjoyed their afternoon, Geoff and I ran around with Daisy’s wedding details for some photos. Afterward, we took care of the boys and pulled out some snazzy shots of Israel’s entourage.

Once the music started and all the wedding guests were properly seated, Daisy and Israel’s wedding ceremony commenced and Israel’s reaction when Daisy walked down the aisle was priceless. As wedding photographers, I suppose this is one of the more crucial, yet rewarding segments in our profession. The series of wedding photos taken during the wedding ceremony were all so touching and of course it included a few hilarious, yet subtle, gestures from the groomsmen. I suppose boys will always be boys despite any situation and a wedding is no exception to that rule. After the wedding ceremony concluded, we ran around the docks and beach for some wedding part portraits! We tried to wrap the wedding photography session as fast as possible then our love wedding couple can mingle with all the guests that waited patiently for them during cocktail hour. Needless to say, after the grand entrance when the reception hall opened, the rest was history. Laughter, tears of joy, and great company were one of the many expressions and events that took place during that time. Sit back, relax, and enjoy Daisy and Israel’s beautiful wedding at Double Tree Hotel in San Pedro.

Furious Photographers – Through My Lenses 2012

January 2, 2013

Hello everyone,

It is that time again when we have to remember to avoid the pesky habit of writing 2012 on all our dates. Last year has been good to Furious Photographers despite the series of roller coaster obstacles that stood before us; I would rather raise my hands high and roll with the blows. To wrap up this wedding blog entry for the year, I have decided to finally post one highlighted wedding or engagement photo from each event that was rather memorable. Although it is 2013, I am already procrastinating, but I suppose posting this blog is better late than never. Thank you all who have supported Furious Photographers and all our awesome adventures! Thank you my brides and grooms who have entrusted their wedding milestone to me and thank you to all my photographers who have dealt with my constant unorthodox demands on every photo shoot!

Granny Panties | Sheryllene & Anthony

June 18, 2012

Happy Monday!

It is such a beautiful day in Los Angeles, even if it is the dreaded case of the Mondays. On the brighter note, there should be happy hour somewhere in Los Angeles since it is after 5pm to lighten up your mood with discounted appetizers and drinks.

Our next wedding photography entry presents this quirky couple, Sheryllene and Anthony, located at Glendale Hilton. It was a sunny afternoon like today when Sheryllene started her preparation at Glendale Hilton suite, while the boys hurried on the last minute wedding details before the ceremony commenced. I suppose that even though ladies have to wake up a few hours earlier than boys for weddings, the perks are that the boys normally have to do the final touches for the wedding while the ladies can enjoy their mornings. There were many priceless wedding photos taken from beginning to end, but the one detail that caught my attention was that all the wedding bouquets were different from flower arrangement, colors, and even types. Maybe each flower explains a bit about each of the bridesmaids? I suppose we may never know!

After Anthony and his boys finalized the last bit of the wedding preparations, they all suited up to their best. This following wedding photograph was rather touching since Anthony’s father tied Anthony’s tie. It was also really cool that Anthony’s father was given a “Father of the Groom” t-shirt too!

With the clock ticked closer towards the wedding ceremony, the ladies rushed to get Sheryllene ready and into her wedding gown.

While the girls tidied their suite and gathered their personal effects to take along to the wedding, Danny and I snapped a few wedding portraits for Anthony and his boys down at Hilton’s lobby.

One of the flower girls were nervous as she walked down the aisle with all the wedding guests’ attention were all on them. Although she pouted a bit, she managed to walk down proudly.

After the wedding ceremony was over, we cruised to a local train station in Glendale with the wedding party for their awesome photography session. Fortunately, it was a weekend and towards dusk, so the station was left rather empty for us to roam around without much restrictions. The wedding party ran from the station to the tracks for the following wedding photographs.

The wedding party worked really hard to present such a wonderful wedding, so when they work hard they play even harder! The dance floor opened up right when the wedding party made their grand entrance to the reception hall! Majority of the wedding guests all made their appearance on the floor and showed off their best moves. Once everyone’s spirits and adrenaline were nicely pumped, Sheryllene and Anthony had their first dance to calm the mood before dinner was served. Throughout the night there were touching speeches and delicious wedding cake for everyone to compliment their dinner. Of course afterward, the crowd jumped back on the dance floor once the DJ spun a beat with plenty of bass!

I have seen many weddings when the bride wore granny panties underneath, but this was rather fashionable and topped off rather nicely. Either way, the following wedding photograph captured Anthony’s reaction when Sheryllene showed off the goods underneath her wedding dress.

Congratulations again to the both of you, Sheryllene and Anthony. It was a pleasure to be your wedding photographer.

Funny Sense of Humor | Angie & Irwanto

May 2, 2012

Good evening,

This will be my last wedding entry for the night, so I will make it a good one. I will pick up from where I left off tomorrow…with the rest of the 100+ wedding and engagement posts to do. To end tonight with something sweet, Angie and Irwanto’ws wedding at Universal Hilton in Studio City should do the trick. It felt like only recently when Danny and I photographed Angie and Irwanto’s engagement photo session over at Laguna Beach and Los Angeles where we photographed on epic picture at LACMA (Los Angeles Contemporary Museum of Art)! Now that it was time for Angie and Irwanto to get married at Universal Hilton, Angie toned down the red and jumped into her beautiful white wedding dress. With Irwanto always being the funny guy with his subtle jokes, he showed off his t-shirt before suiting up. His t-shirt stated, “HERE I AM now what are were your other 2 wishes?” which put a smile on everyone’s faces that morning!

With all jokes aside, Angie and Irwanto had quite a touching wedding here at Universal Hilton. Before the grand wedding down at the courtyard, Geoff and I photographed a more intimate wedding tea ceremony in their suite with both their immediate families when both parents offered their blessings the newly weds. After all was said and done, the entire wedding party left together and walked down the aisle where all their wedding guests eagerly waited for them. Aside from the vows and formalities, Irwanto and the officiant tossed so many subtle jokes around that made photographing this wedding so much more memorable. If only I recorded some of their wedding ceremony in video to remember them all! Either way, the wedding photographs were enough to express the joy and happiness in everyone’s faces!

To conclude this wedding photo gallery, I thought this was rather unique to watch Angie’s mother and grandmother share a dance while the rest of the wedding guests mingled about their tables and groups. Since no one was at the dance floor yet, the two thought they should break in the party first. Since everyone was too shy to join in the beginning, all photographs were concentrated on them for quite some time and I had a feeling these two loved every moment of the attention.

Back to Summit House | Darlene & Justin

May 2, 2012

Hello everyone!

The weather here in Los Angeles is still rather temperamental. We are transitioning from Spring to Summer and Los Angeles still gets a few random moments of rain out of nowhere! Unfortunately, the rain does not last long enough to fully clean my car!

Darlene and Justin’s wedding in Orange County last year fortunately had a more pleasant weather with the sun and beautiful blue skies. To refresh everyone’s memories, Darlene and Justin had their engagement photo session done at good ol’ Pasadena City Hall and Old Town Pasadena. It was a rather fun day thinking back on their engagement photo session in Pasadena. The most memorable for me about that engagement session were their smiles. Their smiles can light up anyone’s mood and they lit up the crowd during their wedding. Darlene and Justin started their wedding bright and early at Hyatt Regency in Orange County where they each hung out with their designated wedding parties. Of course, Darlene and her wedding party took the suite while Justin and his boys had to take a smaller room. During their preparations, Darlene emphasized on having a nice photograph of her proud Christian Louboutin wedding shoes (Check out that photo below)! Once the entire wedding party was dressed to their best, we all made our way to St. Denis Church to get these two love birds married!

After the wedding ceremony and all the formalities out of the way, everyone enjoyed the night away over at Summit House located in Fullerton (Orange County). The details from the centerpieces to the little wedding party favors were absolutely perfect. One of the more hilarious memories of the night was that Darlene’s father has a reputation of talking forever. The time allocated for her father’s speech was only 5 minutes, which was used up quite quickly without any signs of her father concluding his blessings to the newly weds. Although this pushed back the wedding itinerary but a few stops, but every moment was well worth it. The smiles and laughter that Darlene’s father gave from his speech were so “perfect picture” quality! After everything that was needed to be said, the dance floor opened up and the rest of the wedding went down in history. I must admit, some of these people’s dance moves at the wedding were too much for my conservative eyes, but made amazing wedding photos to laugh over in the future!
