Starbucks Lovers | Sophia & Hawk

From Starbucks cups to Spartan races, this pair of dynamic duo love to battle things out as a team. Sophia and Hawk first ignited their flame over a Starbucks where Sophia worked as a barista and Hawk as a patron. With each coffee date, their bonds grew stronger and took their relationship to the next level – Spartan races. These two love to push themselves to their physical and mental limit at these races. I have done the trifecta once, but these two prefer to do it as an annual thing. Sophia may be small, but her hugs alone squeezed the air out of my lungs once. Enough of going off on a tangent, we started off their engagement photo session bright and early in Downtown Los Angeles before the rest of the city woke up. With an empty city and our two love birds suited and gowned up, we cranked out a series of creatively sweet engagement photos. Check it out!

Sweethearts | Lena & Garret

It is those rare occasions that grade school friends turn sweet hearts and eventually become a sweet married couple. In this story, our dear friends, Lena and Garret, were one of those rare ones. Lena and Garret were friends since high school, each writing their own chapters, and some chapters were stranger than the other. Eventually one fine day, they decided to create a new chapter together and carried on writing their life stories as a pair ever since. When it came time to tie the knot, I obliged by starting off with their engagement photos in Downtown Los Angeles.

Wrapping Up 2013

It has definitely been a great year from beginning to end. There is a lot to be thankful about from all our adventures. We were honored to attend so many special weddings and participate as not only as wedding photographers, but bask in the love of everyone there. This year as wedding photographers took us all over the world to record so many precious moments. I must admit, this was one heck of a roller coaster ride filled with never ending excitement. I just cannot wait for what next year’s wedding photography will have in store for us. Hopefully next year we will not have any problems running into certain authorities; that I can tone down a bit! Either way, what is the fun of a wedding if we do not run into a bit of trouble along the way, right? Below is a quick highlight of the engagement, family, and wedding photos that we have photographed throughout the year. Unfortunately, I was not able to post all my favorite engagement and wedding photos on this post without creating too much clutter. LA Night Life | Tammy & Patrick

It was a cool October during this next engagement photography session in Los Angeles with my next lovely couple, Tammy and Patrick. On a side note, I think October has to be one of my favorite months of the year since it is not too hot, not too cold, and leaves start to change colors. The best part of October is Halloween where people can dress and run around public without be judged how weird they look (I am one of the weirdos). For Tammy and Patrick, it looked like they were a fan of October and had a ghoulish Halloween spirit too! Danny and I started this engagement photography session a bit later than our usual photo shoots just to get the mood right for these two love birds. We started off running around Los Angeles Union Station at night through the grand halls and dark corridors of the subway station. Once we had our fill of engagement photos at LA Union Station, we took the photo shoot to the surface in J-Town and concluded at Hotel Figueroa in Downtown Los Angeles financial district. Enjoy.

007 | Reeden & Marc

Hello again everyone,

Today’s blog entry will be quite short, but definitely worthwhile! Reeden and Marc were originally from Alaska, but have family here in Los Angeles. During one of their visits, they scheduled their engagement photo shoot with Phebe and me at Downtown Los Angeles in LA Union Station, Bradbury Building, and a couple other fun locations. Marc was always the type that wanted to look mysterious, debonair, etc. In a nutshell, Marc hinted that he wanted to look like James Bond for their engagement photo session in Los Angeles! I definitely encourage people to have some fun with these photo shoots such as themes and original ideas to spice things up. Of course, since Marc wanted to look like Bond, Reeden wore an evening gown to compliment any secret agent. Check out their engagement photography session and let me know if they pulled it off!

For all you “500 Days of Summer” fans, here was the exact bench that was in the movies! Aside from the whole excitement of the movie, this little patch of greens that sits in the middle of Downtown LA offers an amazing view of the city. After a quick 5 minute break to enjoy the breath of fresh air, we wrapped up Reeden and Marc’s engagement photo session right here and called it a day!

It was definitely a fun day to hang out with you all for this fun engagement photo shoot here in Downtown Los Angeles. I will be posting their wedding at Electra Cruises in Newport Beach soon!
