Good afternoon everyone,
Summer is definitely turning up the heat here in Los Angeles. Everyone start getting rid of your uneven tans because beach season is just around the corner! As for me, I doubt my watch and tshirt tan will ever go away. In this next wedding blog, this takes us to a beautiful summer wedding in Long Beach hosted by beautiful Maya Hotel that sits right along side the docks of Long Beach and with a clear view of legendary Queen Mary. Our lovely wedding couple, Katie and Pete, were as fun and hilarious as ever throughout the wedding. For a quick recap about them and their engagement session, they are awesome rugby players who really know how to get down with the fun and look classy when needed. To kick start their morning, Katie and her gals were off to the salon near Maya Hotel while Pete and his cronies were dressing their best in their hotel room. Aside from the girls all looking amazing, I had to admit that the salon complimented their wedding photos just perfectly with all the colors and decor. Throughout the makeup session, the girls ran around all over and had a blast. Check out the sweet wedding photos that were cranked out below. Amazingly, this time around the ladies were all prepped up and dressed before the boys, which means more camera time for them! While we waited for the ceremony to commence, we had about an hour to run around Maya Hotel for some really amazing wedding pictures with just Katie and her bridesmaids. While I covered the girls, Danny handled the Pete and the boys on the other side of Maya Hotel. Check out the wedding photos below and enjoy the show!

Check out the quick separate photo shoots that Danny and I did with our designated wedding parties before the ceremony commenced on Maya Hotel’s Courtyard that overlooked the ocean.
Each of Pete’s groomsman had an interesting way of greeting or maybe saying “farewell” to Pete as they walked down the aisle. This following wedding photo had to be one of the most interesting ones I have seen throughout my career as a wedding photographer. One of the perks about my profession as a wedding photographer is that there is never a dull moment. Little things like these make my job so worthwhile.
Of course, attention was quickly turned when Katie walked down the aisle with her father in her stunning wedding dress. Pete’s reaction was priceless.
Funny side note: Pete kept kissing Katie throughout the ceremony. I suppose he could not help refrain himself.
After the wedding ceremony concluded at Maya Hotel, we ran around the resort with the wedding party for the following photos. With a little extra time left over, we took Katie and Pete to Queen Mary to wrap up their wedding portrait session of just the two of them.
Grand entrance and they did have one heck of an entrance! They kicked off the night right with their first dance as husband and wife before chowing down on the amazing dinner. In between dinner and the mingling, there were also other performances that kept all the wedding guests entertained throughout the night. There was a traditional Maui dance that was pretty crazy!
