Guitar Goddess | Ezina & Dax

December 29th, 2009

Ezina and Dax are an eccentric couple that sparked my interest ever since my phone conversation with them about setting an appointment for their wedding. Our personalities clicked perfectly from day one, which in turn made our engagement session sail quite smoothly. Of all the photo shoots I have done, I have not experienced one that relates to wings (you will see it in the following images). Ezina’s alias when she performs at concerts is Guitar Goddess. I guess that kind of explains why she wore a pair of amazing white wings during their engagement. Our first location was at Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles. The significance of this place is that Dax proposed to Ezina near one of the ledges of the observatory. Is that romantic or what?! Enough chit chat, I now present Ezina and Dax.

After the observatory, we made a quick drive over to Malibu to snap a few photos at the beach. Ezina changed to her red dress and strapped on her custom made guitar and serenaded Dax with a few tunes. ^_^

Thank you Ezina and Dax for the fun day around the city. Thank you Danny for your countless assistance. Ezina and Dax will be tying the knot early next year at Beverly Hills Hilton. I look forward to that wedding!

Happy holidays,

Rock n’ Roll 4 Life! | Jenn & David

December 28th, 2009

This wedding has to be one of the most interesting adventures for me this year! I got a phone call from Jenn to fly to Milwaukee, WI to photograph her summer wedding. Of all the places, I would have never thought of photographing a wedding in that state. After Jenn gave me her itinerary, Vu Bui ( The Bui Brothers) and I packed our bags and flew across the country! After our arrival in Wisconsin, everything else afterward was one hell of a ride. Check it out!

Since their wedding was at a botanical garden, we tried to photograph these details to match the environment.

For the grand finale, the best photo to top off my trip in Wisconsin:

For those who do not know who the person in the picture is, he is Jonathan Davis – the lead singer from Korn! The band was gracious enough to let us watch them practice before their show at The Eagles Room in Milwaukee. Thank you Jenn and David for such an awesome wedding. Thank you also for the tour around Milwaukee and all its history and culture. This wedding will definitely be one of my favorite of all time!

Rock on!

Skulls and Bones | Landon & Robby

December 28th, 2009

Who knew that integrating skulls and bones on a wedding cake can be so tasteful? Landon and Robby’s wedding was hosted at the beautiful Electra Cruises venue in Newport Beach. I had the opportunity to photograph weddings on these yachts in the past, but never had I seen the entire interior of the yacht decorated in black drapes paired with black bows and chair slips! These two love birds really have an eccentric taste in life. Even though everything was decorated in black, they still kept the tradition of a stunning white wedding dress. Landon actually designed her own wedding dress too!

Dance Like No One’s Watching | Michelle & Chirag

November 17th, 2009

Hello everyone,

Lawrence had the opportunity to photograph Michelle and Chirag’s wedding at the beautiful Laguna Cliffs Marriott Hotel in Dana Point, CA. The pictures taken from this Indian ceremony were absolutely amazing. Indian ceremonies are one of my absolute favorite due to its use of colorful and intricate designs on their clothing. Without further ado, I present Lawrence’s artistic perspective of how he captured this beautiful wedding.

You can dance anywhere, even on the street! The entire wedding party danced away like no one was watching. It was such a joyous sight to see!

After the wedding, Lawrence took the boys aside to take some portraits. As you can tell from the following photographs, Lawrence is not your typical wedding photographer!

The Happiest Place on Earth | Christy & Mike

November 17th, 2009

Disneyland always holds a special place in my heart. Disney lives up to the name, The Happiest Place on Earth, due to its attractions and its beloved childhood characters! Christy and Mike shared the same perspective as me and had their engagement photo session taken place here. Luckily, we all had season passes to enter Disney again and AGAIN! I suggest everyone to get a pass because Disneyland is seriously not a place where you can experience everything in one day. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the pictures from our adventure. ^_^

Although this place is reserved only for Disney employees, they were gracious enough to lend this section for our engagement pictures. These blue stairs went in all directions, which made this photo extraordinarily weird…yet so cool at the same time!

Out of all the rides and attractions offered at Disneyland, my stomach hated the teacups the most…
