When we photographed Cindy and Jerome’s engagement photo session at Disney Concert Hall (Los Angeles) and Old Town Pasadena, it rained on us all day long. Even with a little rain, that did not dampen our spirits at all. When it rains, we get artistic with our photos!
There are ups and downs when the rain pours on you during an engagement shoot, but usually there are more ups than down. If it is the other way around, that means the engagement session will come to an end and there will not be any pictures, right? Fortunately, Cindy and Jerome enjoyed the rain as much as I did and made the best of our day. Luck was on our side since we only faced sporadic rain clouds. We started our engagement photo session at Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles and concluded at Old Town Pasadena…in Pasadena (haha, get it?). Enough of my dry humor in such a wet weather, here are a few clips of Cindy and Jerome’s performance in the rain.

We tried to stay nice and toasty inside the concert hall before battling the rain. This was actually my first time inside the concert hall, which was quite refreshing. The architecture of the interior is definitely one of a kind.

After the rain clouds took a short breather, we ran outside and took as many pictures as we can before the next wave of clouds arrived!

We took a quick detour to Los Angeles Union Station before our final destination at Old Town Pasadena. I must say that the detour was worthwhile!

Oh, what fun will an engagement session be if we cannot break a few rules? Since the street was nice and clear, we got ourselves a clean shot in the middle of the street! This is definitely one for the records.

Since this engagement photo session took place during Halloween (yes, that means I procrastinate on my blog posts), we took a more “grim and artsy” photo. I hope we pulled that feeling off in the following picture.

Thank you Cindy and Jerome for being such a great sport despite the rainy day. Sitting home in the rain is just too dull and boring for me.

Great work as always!!!! Love the last shot….
What a cool place(s) to shoot in – and you certainly made the most of it all. Well done.
Always thought engagement shoots were quite boring, but you’ve really done a great job at keeping my attention and giving us great ideas. We may have to start doing engagement shoots in the UK. Thank you for the inspiration!

You really know how to use the lines on the background! I love all of them but 1 to 6 I love love love!!!
Hey Doug, love the shot of the couple on sitting on the couch! I was wondering if you ever posted George and Steph’s wedding photos…they used to be coworkers of mine at Newegg! George was actually my manager haha
Hello Tiff,
Wow, what a small world! I will have their wedding posted up very soon.
