Claudia and Alex started their engagement photography session bright and early at Long Beach Japanese Gardens! Long Beach Japanese Garden is such a little gem in the city. Afterward, our engagement photo session took place on the streets with all the beautiful fall leaves.
Hello,
This engagement session took us to the city of Long Beach! Since Claudia is attending Cal State University of Long Beach (CSULB), she knows her way around the area and decided to start the engagement photography session there. Our e-session started at the CSU Long Beach Japanese Garden.

Got of have sun flares! The warm sunlight and the golden yellow tree leaves added the extra touch to this engagement picture! =)

Hung out from our sunroof to take this photograph!

We were fortunate to still see autumn leaves in Long Beach to take this picture. Is that a cool ride or what?!

Same bench on Ocean and Temple (Long Beach) where Alex proposed to Claudia =)

My favorite engagement photograph of the day!

Alex and Claudia will be married at the Ebell Club in Long Beach early next year! Of course, they will be escorted in their sweet Beetle.

I love the spirit you capture in your photographs. The way you frame this is also great. What a great eye you have!
Great shots Doug! Love all the ones with the VW Bug! (So shiny!)
Haha, love the ones with the beetle the most. Especially the last. These photos burst with personality!

Hi! loved the photos at CSU Long Beach at the Japanese Garden. I wanted to take engagement pictures there but I wanted to know if the couple paid for it to be used for their engagement [$200/hr] or did you guys just go during the free public hours and took pics? Thanks!! Photos look great!
Hello Kristina,
Normally, you will need to pay to photograph there. As for engagement photos, as low as you keep your profiles low and do not disturb the other visitors, they are venue is totally fine.
