Howdy,

Dian (Dee) and Liang just tied the knot last weekend! I met this awesome couple through Angie and Cheston; every one of them a UCLA graduate! Woot!

Dee got ready at the Pasadena Westin Hotel. They also had their after party there as well :) Check out Dee’s pajamas! Moo!

Linh and Steve tied the knot in Malibu! Their wedding consisted of a bunch of random hilarious games and laughter. The wedding photographs were so memorable.

Hi peeps,

Yes, I lag in blogging. On the bright side, I am so so so close to launching my new project! Stay tuned, seriously.

Anyway, Steve and Linh recently graced me with the opportunity to photograph their wedding at Rancho Sol Del Pacifico, which is a breathtaking private estate on the cliffs of Malibu (Los Angeles). The owners of the property – Al and Barbara Rotter – were super cool to work with. What I loved the most about Rancho Sol Del Pacifico were the animals! There were cats, dogs, more dogs, and more dogs!

Warm thank you to Angel for coordinating the event – awesome job! Brides – check her out!

Steve and Linh are from Atlanta, Georgia. They wanted to get married in Los Angeles to take advantage of the sunny weather. Unfortunately, on their wedding day, you guessed it, it rained. Since Rancho Sol Del Pacifico is located so high in the Santa Monica mountains that we were practically in the cloud’s level.

While driving up the untouched Santa Monica Mountains to Rancho Sol Del Pacifico, everyone was greeted with these pleasant ushers in orange (prison?) jackets.

As part of Vietnamese door entry games, the groom is posed with various challenges by the bridesmaids to prove his love and worthiness for his bride. In this particular situation, Steve had to pretend to be a plane!

To prove that he will be a good father, Steve had to wrap a diaper on one of his groomsmen. :S

Once Steve proved his love for Linh, they had a Chinese tea ceremony where the bride and groom serve tea to their friends and family members.

Lastly, Steve and Linh had a Western ceremony. Since it was raining outside, everything was done inside the tent. This young fellow loved to steal the limelight :O

Alas, the rain did not permit us to take advantage of the view, but we made due.

This was the coolest cat in the world! I think his name was Dolce.

The seating arrangement was all pinned onto a cork board. Below each name had a clue that hinted where they will be sitting.

Barbecue and paella for dinner? Yum!

A simple, but timeless wedding cake. Also yum!

Lastly, we took some pictures in near darkness at the driveway of Rancho Sol Del Pacifico. The lights on the palm trees coupled with the fog gave it a mystic look. What were Steve and Linh doing?

It was a rainy afternoon when Jennifer and Long hosted their wedding in Los Angeles and their portrait session in Pasadena. Even with all the rain, it did not dampen the wedding party’s mood throughout the entire day. Check out their photos!

Hello Everyone,

For the people who do not remember Jennifer and Long, I photographed their engagement sessions not too long ago in Laguna Beach. They finally tied the knot today! Long came over to Jennifer’s house in style. Being in a BMW sports crew, he rolled by with about 20 BMWs just to make a grand entrance.

You have to love the decorations on that car.

They lit the fireworks to officially start the ceremony.

We encountered an unexpected thunderstorm, which threw off our schedule. What I love about weddings is that I get to improvise and have fun doing it. Here is our best man taking one for the team by pulling up a chair in the middle of a parking space in Old Town Monrovia to save a spot for the newly weds.

Not seeing any sign of the rain stopping, we all moved to a parking structure in Pasadena to continue our photo shoot. Fortunately, Pasadena rained sporadically, which gave us windows of time to snap away before the rain came down on us again.

Hello All,

Heather and Rory finally tied the knot! We photographed their engagement session a while back in San Juan Capistrano. It was an awesome day to photograph their wedding. The skies were blue, weather was perfect, and everyone was just having a good time. Heather started her day by getting ready at her sister’s house in Dana Point, while Rory entertained their guests with plenty of mimosa at the Chart House.

Heather and Rory’s day did not end at the Chart House. There were many more rounds of mimosas waiting for them at the Ritz Carlton in Laguna Niguel. They always pictured themselves photographed at the middle of the bar at the Ritz. To fulfill their wish, I had them literally pose in the middle of the bar with an entire audience.

I hope you enjoyed these pictures as much as I did taking them. Thank you Adrienne and Tang for being such great photographers! Heather and Rory were a blast!!!

It was a fun day when I met with Ann and Arun for their engagement photography session in Brooklyn, New York! The cool part about taking pictures here is that Brooklyn has a view of the entire Manhattan island!

Hello,

I finally found some time to post my third and final engagement session from my last trip to New York City. The other two engagement sessions before Ann and Arun were Tiffany and Ly and Gina and Harvey. Ann and Arun preferred a more quiet engagement session – especially that of New York traffic. We ended up at the neighborhood in Brooklyn where “The Cosby Show” was supposed to replicate. This part of Brooklyn was an amazing place that gave a feel of suburban lifestyle.

We couldn’t help ourselves when we saw these steps!

I found this to be a timeless portrait =)

We snapped away during our walk towards DUMBO (Down Under Manhattan Bridge Overpass). Apparently, it is a famous location where Brooklyn Bridge and the Manhattan Bridge meet.

Thank you Ann and Arun for the tour of Brooklyn. I will definitely revisit that place on my next trip to New York City, which actually might be next month!
