- Big Flash Drive
- Laptop

The “yet to be named” workshop will start at 10am and will end around 6pm-7pm depending on when I get hungry for dinner of which you are welcome to join – food will most likely be hot and coupled with cold beer. We will be discussing a number of essential items that all wedding photographers should know when entering this industry.
We are still in the process of looking for models to pose as our subjects, so if you know any couples who want pictures, shoot me an email at FuriousPhotographers@gmail.com. Please send a picture along with a brief description because due to the number of inquiries, everyone is subject to screening. Here are some items that we will be covering:
- Detail shots (including rings and etc.)

- Post-production techniques

- “High Fashion” subjects (some clients actually ask for it)

- Perfect Lighting (even at beaches)

- Use of space – tight and loose

If you want to know about anything in particular about photography, just post a comment or email me so that I can prepare for it. Doug and I are all about helping and we only wish that you do the same for others. ;D
Overall, if you want to join, you must let me know. If you do not have a camera, we have six, but you should get your own if you are serious. TELL ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear! I was hoping that you could have attended. We host workshops whenever enough people asks us to.
Indeed, let’s do WPPI 2009! I never had the chance to go, but this time, I will make sure that I do!
I do not know how many people will come. So far, I have about 10 people who emailed me and today is the first day I posted it. I will have to cap it soon because I don’t want to be stretched too far since I don’t have the proper resources like a lecture hall and etc.

Of course count me in! Thanks for the little “WHY” you are holding this workshop section! I am excited and have lots of questions to ask!

I’m just an amateur photographer. It all started as a hobby of mine, (way back since my days at the Central University of Venezuela where I graduated in the class of 1983 and used the “lates product” Canon AE1 35mm SLR camera)
Until my good friend Victor Garcia from VLS Entertainment (www.werocktheparty.com) asked me to join his DJ venture by taking pictures as part of his “DJ Package” at weddings, quinceaneras (Sweet 15th B-days) and other engagements. Because I really enjoy doing it and like challenges, I acepted it.
I was tottally amazed (and some sort of overwhelmed) of the complexity and work requiered to actually achieve a good quality photograph. And specially to make the switch from film to digital (I think film, even thou still have a great advantage on quality and details, is not as fun and has not the wide range of applications as digital).
With this in mind I joined UCLA Extension and register to all the photography and photoshop classes I could get hold of. Thanks to one of the classmates (Grace Chang from Genuine Visions) I was notified of your workshop.
I must say it was an amazing experience! Not only to learn many key elements on the art of photography but to meet such of nice and friendly crowd.
Perhaps one day my pictures will become a real photographs (as yours) and I can be added to your list of “Photographers”.
For now I can just thank Grace for the heads up and all of you guys for the patience, understanding, dedication and amazing flow of knowledge.
Not many people is willing to share information (many will consider it as encouraging the competition) and even more difficult to find someone to do it at not cost and throwing in refreshements. WAY TO GO!!!
Please keep me in your list of contacts. For future workshops or if you need a second (3rd class) photographer. (or just to carry the equipment a.k.a. “water boy” ) LOL
You can check out my humble work in progress at http://www.werocktheparty.com (It’s not my website but my friend’s). Or at http://www.flickr.com/photos/vzlafox/
Hope to hear from you guys and once again Thank you very, very, very much to all of you and the models and everyone that planned and organized this event, for all the great effort, cooperation and great instructional day!
BTW: Could you e-mail me your recommendations about a PC (to be used for editing) (either PC or Mac) . And the necessary software.
Also (one more time) a list of the “best” basic lens I should acquiere.

Hmmmm let’s see here where shall I begin? The workshop was a 3 day whirlwind of knowledge crammed into one spectacular day……Simply awesome! Not only was the class great, but I met people with class. Photographers of all levels coming together to learn more and help one another when possible. The models were great, including Doug , Mr. I’ll show her how to pose! Every member of the Furious Photographers were ready to answer any and all questions, provide top notch insight and Lawrence even let me borrow his personal camera for some shots!! I do not think there is or has been another function of this caliber for free! Blessing will come their way no doubt!!!!

I read similar article also named Photography Workshop | Furious Photographers | Destination Wedding Photographer | Orange County Wedding Photography, and it was completely different. Personally, I agree with you more, because this article makes a little bit more sense for me
